Schizophrenia on the Subway
So why bother? I'm doing fine, the train is working it's way through the inner city, people getting on people getting of, hot, dry air from the heaters, cold air from the outsides, no eyecontact, no interacting, keep yourself to yourself, mind your own buisnes. If eyes do meet they look away quickly, ashamed that they tried to meet a nother pair.
The guy stands up, walks towards the door, but dosn't leave, takes a nother seat, and changes to a different one shortly after, and again and again. People looking irritated, trying to avoid to appear irritated, hoping he won't look at them or even say something. What is his problem? Why changing seats all the time? There's gotta be something wrong with that guy.
"SO WHY BOTHER?"
People look to the ground, clearly he's not talking to me, I don't know him! I hope he changes seats again soon.
"I'M DOING FINE"
People acting as if there was something really interesting going on in the dark tunnel the train is now rushing through. The guy gets up and looks arround, people looking into their laps, clearly he's going to go to a nother seat now, but no...
Leaving the train I'm saying to myself,
"SO WHY BOTHER...I'M DOING FINE"
